We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Tray Delivery Specialist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our nutrition services team, you will be responsible for delivering patient meals and trays in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient meals and trays to designated areas, ensuring timely and accurate service.
- Follow established protocols for handling and storing food and equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient meal requests and tray delivery.
- Collaborate with the nutrition services team to ensure efficient and effective meal delivery and tray collection.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on nutrition services policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Food Service Worker Permit (FSWP) from Monongalia County Health Department (MCHD) required.
- Ability to push fully loaded tray cart (approx. 250 lbs) and stand for most of the working day.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
This position requires patient interaction, some conditions/appearance may be distressing. Enter isolation precaution patient rooms with proper protective equipment. Kitchen environment often noisy.
