Job Summary:

The CITY OF LINCOLN CITY is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lifeguard to join our team at the Community Center. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons in the aquatic facility by preventing and responding to emergencies. You will also be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all pool patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area and enforce all rules and policies of the Community Center.
Act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of patrons in the event of an emergency.
Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times, representing the Community Center in a positive manner and maintaining a high standard of customer service with community members and visitors of all ages.
Conduct regular rotations to ensure safety and cleanliness of the pool and surrounding areas.
Supervise participants engaging in rock climbing activities on the indoor rock-climbing wall.
Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping duties of the pool and Community Center fitness, gym, locker rooms, and chemical storage as directed and authorized.

Requirements:

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening, physical, and drug screening.
Must be able to work with children and provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all pool patrons.
Must be able to maintain a high standard of customer service and present a professional appearance and attitude at all times.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions will vary depending on assigned programs and will involve considerable exposure to humidity, water, and chemicals. Must wear uniform while on duty.
