Neurology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurology Services team at the University of Rochester. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative team in a subspecialty of Neurology, caring for patients with multiple sclerosis and other neuroimmunologic disorders.
Responsibilities- Provide direct care to outpatients, including evaluation and management of acute disease exacerbations and chronic symptoms.
- Collaborate with other providers and disciplines, as well as community service agencies, to provide coordinated care.
- Participate in the education of learners, using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training.
Nurse Practitioner: Requires a Master's Degree in Nursing or related field and an active New York State license in good standing. Applicants will have 5 years experience as an RN with one to three years of leadership experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physician Assistant: Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program, licensure in good standing, and certified as a Registered Physician Assistant. Demonstrated clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness, and customer relation skills, computer competence, and an active desire to learn.

Pay RangeThe referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
The pay range is $65.97 hourly.
