Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Berkadia. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining sophisticated financial underwriting models for commercial real estate development, acquisition, and disposition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial underwriting models for commercial real estate development, acquisition, and disposition.
  • Analyze P&L statements and rent rolls to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Utilize and maintain databases that track investment sales activity, construction pipeline, and other relevant real estate metrics.
  • Present and support analyses to clients as needed.
  • Review industry surveys and benchmarks, economic and demographic trends to inform business decisions.
  • Assist in the research, writing, and proofing of market intelligence for marketing materials.
  • Prepare and present the results of analysis, including graphics and charts, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Establish strong working relationships with the team to understand and identify their needs for market intelligence.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Excel modeling techniques, including complex formulas, data analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Proven experience in utilizing ARGUS for financial analysis and real estate valuation.
  • Experience with data analytics such as demographics, competitors, industry, and real estate trends.
  • Ability to think commercially about the needs and requirements of different client groups.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively both as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Ability to simplify and effectively communicate complex ideas in writing and through data visualization techniques to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
