Veterinary Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Courtenay Animal Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our clients.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that requires flexibility, including evenings and weekends. You will work closely with our veterinarians to provide outstanding patient care, assist with medical procedures, and maintain accurate patient records. Your excellent communication skills and ability to multitask will be essential in this fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, exams, and laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate patient records and update files as necessary
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and treatment options
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia administration, and monitoring
- Stock examination and surgery rooms with supplies, and sterilize equipment
- Prior customer service experience and a positive attitude
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment
- Current state licensure in good standing for Veterinary Technician roles
