Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Bakery Manager to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing and leading our bakery team, and ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the bakery team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
  • Assist the Bakery Manager in supervising daily operations, including ordering and inventory control, product quality, and team supervision
  • Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays to maximize visual appeal and sales
  • Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items and ensure prompt resolution
  • Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of bakery products
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
  • Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience
  • Dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Outgoing and friendly behavior, with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to give and take direction, and participate in a team environment
  • Ability to answer phones and take special orders
  • Perform general housekeeping in the department, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas
  • Ability to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
  • Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift, and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations, and achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit
