ResponsibilitiesRole:
The Certified Nursing Assistant is tasked with providing essential non-professional nursing support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role involves delivering fundamental patient care where the expertise of a registered or licensed practical nurse is not necessary. Responsibilities include assisting medical staff in the examination, treatment, and overall care of patients, which encompasses transporting patients and equipment, as well as aiding in admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Specific duties are assigned by nursing personnel, and employees are expected to follow clear, detailed instructions. It is crucial to seek clarification on any tasks that are not explicitly outlined in the initial directives. Performance is monitored through regular evaluations to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent military medical training is required.
Prior experience in a related field is preferred.
License & Certification
Must possess current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Healthcare provider BLS certification is mandatory.
A valid Food Handlers permit issued by the relevant health department is also required.
