Exciting Opportunity for a Part Time Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a skilled dental hygienist to join our team at Eastern Plumas Health Care. This part time position offers a unique opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art Dental Clinic and contribute to the successful growth of our rural hospital.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer prophylactic treatment by scaling and polishing teeth.
  • Document areas of existing restorations and notable areas of possible decay and disease for dentist's review.
  • Take x-rays to determine extent of any decay and disease.
  • Administer fluoride treatment as needed.
  • Update medical history of patient, highlighting significant information for dentist's review.
  • Instruct patients in oral hygiene technique, answering patient questions and providing other educational information relevant to oral hygiene.
  • Practice universal precautions and other sterilization and infection control procedures and maintain equipment.
  • Provide associated administrative support, including maintaining patient documentation, patient communication and other record-keeping.
Requirements:
  • Current California RDH license.
  • Current X-ray license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
