We are seeking a skilled dental hygienist to join our team at Eastern Plumas Health Care. This part time position offers a unique opportunity to work in our state-of-the-art Dental Clinic and contribute to the successful growth of our rural hospital.
Responsibilities:- Administer prophylactic treatment by scaling and polishing teeth.
- Document areas of existing restorations and notable areas of possible decay and disease for dentist's review.
- Take x-rays to determine extent of any decay and disease.
- Administer fluoride treatment as needed.
- Update medical history of patient, highlighting significant information for dentist's review.
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene technique, answering patient questions and providing other educational information relevant to oral hygiene.
- Practice universal precautions and other sterilization and infection control procedures and maintain equipment.
- Provide associated administrative support, including maintaining patient documentation, patient communication and other record-keeping.
- Current California RDH license.
- Current X-ray license.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
