Automotive Mechanic Specialist

At DriveTime, we are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing advanced vehicle repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities:- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on multiple makes and models of DriveTime inventory vehicles.
- Explain automotive repairs and issues to management to minimize re-work and delays in production.
- Properly document all work performed in DT systems.
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace to maintain the highest level of safety and compliance.
- A high school diploma or GED is required; a certificate or associate's degree in automotive technology or equivalent work experience (three years or more) in automotive repair is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and good driving record are necessary.
- Must be at least 18 years old.

- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.
- Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.
- Requires standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
- Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- Requires use of safety equipment that may include face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
- Requires some driving and frequent typing.
- Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
