Responsibilities

The Assistant General Counsel - Litigation will be a seasoned litigator with experience in state and federal court, as well as arbitration. This attorney will handle a wide range of litigation matters assigned by the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel, taking a lead role in managing the company's high volume of litigation matters and providing strategic guidance to key stakeholders on litigation issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise outside counsel
  • Direct litigation strategy and contain costs
  • Provide guidance to key stakeholders on litigation issues

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • ABA-accredited law degree
  • Member in good standing of the State Bar of California

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years of prior legal experience in a law firm, public sector, or in-house position
  • Experience in trial or arbitration hearings, preferably as first chair
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably with hospitals
