We are excited to present a remarkable career opportunity for a Senior Cabinet Fabricator to become a vital part of PDS Defense.
This role involves the construction of premium aircraft cabinetry utilizing a range of veneers, laminates, and composite materials, all while adhering to strict quality standards and timelines. The position also includes providing guidance and training to fellow cabinet makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and train junior cabinet makers
- Interpret and analyze customer specification documents
- Read and understand engineering blueprints
- Consistently work with aerospace-grade materials
- Assemble hinge blocks into panels, set doors, drawers, and more
- Craft hardwood bullnose and Corian countertops
- Prepare kerf and fiberglass panels
- Apply adhesives and epoxies to various materials
- Construct drawers and cabinets for large installations
- Work with veneer on final products
- Layout and route for switches, cup holders, and inlays
- Install inlays with precision
- Cut materials accurately using a table saw
- Operate CNC and Pin Router machinery
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including those for hazardous materials
- Consistently produce high-quality products
- Adjust work based on scheduling requirements
- Maintain tools and equipment in optimal condition
- Keep a clean and organized workspace, contributing to overall departmental cleanliness
- Meet production targets and deadlines as established by management
- Provide training and instruction to others
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Essential Competencies:

Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least four years of experience in aircraft cabinetry
- Must qualify as a US Person for compliance with regulations
- Able to comply with drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Required tools must be acquired within six months of employment

- Ability to lead and inspire team members
- Experience in training new employees
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Mathematical proficiency for problem-solving
- Ability to identify and utilize appropriate tools for tasks
- Exhibits excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- Flexibility to work outside of standard hours when required
