Job Title: MST-BSF Clinician

Boys and Girls Village INC is seeking a highly skilled MST-BSF Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide intensive family- and community-based treatment for families with active cases within the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Job Summary:

The MST-BSF Clinician will conduct MST-BSF assessments, engage primary caregivers and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment, and implement a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcome review and strategy revision procedure using the MST Analytic Process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct MST-BSF assessments, including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses, and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context.
  • Carry a caseload of 4 families, meeting with the family a minimum of 3 times per week during the 6-9 months of treatment.
  • Engage primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
  • Implement a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcome review and strategy revision procedure using the MST Analytic Process.
  • Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts that promote peer and supervisory review and feedback, and that demonstrate compliance with the nine MST Principles and the MST Analytic Process.
  • Collaborate with all relevant systems and key participants within each system to ensure their buy-in and cooperation throughout MST-BSF treatment.
  • Provide direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with MST principles and practices that are part of the required treatments of this model.
  • Participate in all MST-BSF training, supervision and consultation activities.
  • Build a relationship with community stakeholders (i.e., child protection services, Guardians ad Litem, judges, schools, etc.) to ensure cooperation among service providers.
  • Facilitate delivery of the weekly Social Club recovery support group intervention.
  • Must be willing to schedule family visits during late afternoon and evening times and/or weekend hours.
  • After hours on call duty as part of a regular rotation (may require going into the home).
  • Documents and evaluates all services and procedures to be in adherence with state statutes, COA standards and Boys & Girls Village standards.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Behavioral Health.
  • Licensed or actively seeking to become licensed.
  • Be willing to provide services in the home.
  • Demonstrated history of cultural competence.
  • Experience working with adolescents and their families.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using Strategic/Structural Family, Cognitive-Behavioral, Behavioral Therapies.
  • Bi-lingual.
Working Conditions and Environment:

Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the families. Participate in an On Call Rotation. Must have valid driver's license, good driving record and access to reliable transportation.
