As a key member of the Arbour Hospital's inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team, the Expressive Art Therapist plays a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field, and have at least 6 months of experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization, or intensive outpatient treatment program.
The Expressive Art Therapist will be responsible for facilitating expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on Arbour Hospital's inpatient psychiatric units. Key responsibilities include performing initial activity therapy assessments, developing appropriate treatment goals, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
