Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and pick up rental equipment using a Class 8 truck with a 40,000-pound capacity load.
  • Load rental equipment onto customer-provided transportation and ensure it is secured properly.
  • Determine the most efficient route based on load weight, road, and traffic conditions.
  • Maintain a Driver's Log Book as required by DOT regulations.
  • Follow DOT rules and regulations regarding oversize loads and permits.
  • Instruct customers on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
  • Inspect equipment upon return for damage, abuse, fuel levels, and all attachments.
  • Assist with service tasks as needed.
  • Complete documents for rental closeout upon return.
  • Perform minor repairs or maintenance on returned rental machines.
  • Report any delays due to breakdowns, weather, or traffic conditions.
  • Report all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment.
Requirements
  • Valid Class A - CDL drivers license with an excellent driving record and current DOT physical card.
  • 6 months minimum commercial driving experience with over-the-road tractor & trailer experience.
  • Knowledge of usage and operation of light construction equipment preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Working Conditions

The CRS Delivery Driver will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel. The driver must be able to stand for long periods, walk, sit, climb stairs, reach, push, pull, lean, and twist. The driver must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds in accordance with Western States Lifting Safe Work Practice.
