About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Architect with Civil CAD experience to join our team at Goodwyn Mills Cawood in Daphne, AL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop landscape architecture plans, including site civil (grading, drainage, and utilities)
  • Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and architects on engineering and landscape projects
  • Draft and design residential and commercial subdivisions and site plans
  • Prepare visual representations of outdoor areas and present them to clients, incorporating feedback and suggestions
  • Inspect project sites for structural and ground stability, making necessary changes to ensure safety
  • Stay up-to-date on current practices and landscaping trends through ongoing research and education
  • Develop planting schedules for clients to maintain the style, beauty, and health of finished projects
  • Collaborate with local regulatory committees and legal organizations to understand laws and regulations
  • Follow up with clients after project completion to ensure satisfaction and maintain future business relationships
  • Utilize AutoCAD software to create detailed technical drawings and plans for residential and commercial site plans and subdivisions
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to interpret design concepts and translate them into comprehensive drawings and layouts
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather relevant data and assess project requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including construction drawings and specifications
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
  • 2 or more years of experience in landscape architecture and CAD design
  • Proficiency in CAD software, including LandFX and AutoCAD
  • Experience with irrigation design a plus
