Job Summary

The Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Pulaski is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, applying the nursing process to plan and implement care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Establish, review, and revise patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Administer medications and treatments within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse
  • Record patient care activities, including assessment, reassessment, and ongoing treatment notes
  • Operate medical equipment used in patient care
  • Provide patient and family education related to treatment, diagnosis, medications, and self-care
  • Ensure patient care is delivered in accordance with nursing standards of care

Requirements

  • Active TN RN license or compact state license with intent to obtain TN RN license within 30 days of hire
  • Current BLS/CPR certification within 12 months of hire
  • Obtain ACLS, PALS, and HWC certifications within 12 months of hire
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly to changing situations, and function independently
