A highly skilled Physical Therapist is sought to provide exceptional care to patients with complex needs. As a role model and supervisor, this individual will lead junior staff and identify patients requiring physical therapy services. The ideal candidate will seek feedback to improve clinical practice and assume a leadership role, while seeking guidance in this process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical therapy examinations according to professional standards and departmental policy.
  • Develop and execute a program of skilled physical therapy intervention, demonstrating knowledge of various options.
  • Participate in professional growth and development, as well as quality improvement and program development.
  • Assume a leadership role, contributing to performance appraisals and serving as a primary clinical instructor for students.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Licensure to practice in Physical Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional continuing education in pelvic health.
  • CAPP certification.
Physical Demands:

The job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequent bending, and traveling. The individual must be proficient in communication, auditory, and visual skills, with attention to detail and ability to write legibly. The ability to lift, push, and pull is also required. The individual may be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
