We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Emerson. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule, perform, and document internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Participate in customer and regulatory agency audits to ensure our products meet industry standards.
- Support business performance goals through data analysis, process improvement, and quality control measures.
- Develop and implement nondestructive examination procedures in accordance with industry codes and specifications.
- Review Certified Material Test Reports for chemical composition and mechanical property compliance.
- Train internal personnel on quality program requirements and best practices.
- Initiate and close corrective actions to ensure quality issues are resolved promptly.
- Approve disposition of nonconforming material through Material Rejection Notice process.
- Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports on internal process quality, supplier quality, and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records.
- Review vendor purchase order requirements for compliance to quality and engineering specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or similar field.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining customer relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, AWS, and military specifications.
- Experience with ASME Sec IX.
- NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification.
- Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
