About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Emerson. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule, perform, and document internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Participate in customer and regulatory agency audits to ensure our products meet industry standards.
  • Support business performance goals through data analysis, process improvement, and quality control measures.
  • Develop and implement nondestructive examination procedures in accordance with industry codes and specifications.
  • Review Certified Material Test Reports for chemical composition and mechanical property compliance.
  • Train internal personnel on quality program requirements and best practices.
  • Initiate and close corrective actions to ensure quality issues are resolved promptly.
  • Approve disposition of nonconforming material through Material Rejection Notice process.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports on internal process quality, supplier quality, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records.
  • Review vendor purchase order requirements for compliance to quality and engineering specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or similar field.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, AWS, and military specifications.
  • Experience with ASME Sec IX.
  • NQA-1 Lead Auditor qualification.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
