Job Summary

Ridgeview Medical Center is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our rehabilitation team. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic, evaluative, treatment, educational, and follow-up services to clients with speech, language, and swallowing problems of functional or organic etiologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess speech, language, and swallowing impairments to establish appropriate care plans and provide treatment interventions.
  • Provide thorough documentation of patient interventions based on standards of practice for Speech/Language Pathologists (ASHA) and policies and procedures of Ridgeview Medical Center and Rehabilitation Specialties and Home Care.
  • Communicate with healthcare professionals, staff, and insurance providers to ensure patient needs are addressed.
  • Organize treatment environment, tools, supplies, documentation, resources, and procedures to maximize treatment effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology
  • Valid State of Minnesota registration as a Speech/Language Pathologist
  • Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence issued by ASHA
  • CPR Certification

Physical Demands

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, organize tasks, and meet and maintain necessary background checks. They will also be able to exhibit flexibility, self-control, and maturity in work and behavior, and promote Rehab Specialties services. Ability to change work locations with or without prior notification is required.
