Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Preparation: Prepare the operating room and equipment for each procedure, ensuring that all necessary supplies and instruments are available.
  • Surgical Assistance: Assist the surgeon and other members of the surgical team during procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Instrument Management: Maintain and manage surgical instruments, ensuring that they are properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored.
  • Supply Management: Manage surgical supplies, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining inventory.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with the surgical team, including the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and nurses, to ensure seamless execution of procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including maintaining accurate records and contributing to process improvements.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in surgical technology or related field preferred.
  • Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required; Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist; experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
