We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team at The Goddard School of Delaware, OH. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for young children, implementing engaging lesson plans, and fostering a love of learning through creative and interactive teaching methods.
Key Responsibilities:- Curriculum and Instruction:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth in children.
- Foster a love of learning through creative and engaging teaching methods that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Observe and assess children's development and adjust activities accordingly to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
- Classroom Management:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes socialization, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness in children.
- Manage daily routines and transitions smoothly to ensure a seamless learning experience.
- Address behavioral issues with positive guidance and support to promote social-emotional learning and character development.
- Family Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide regular updates to ensure parents are informed and engaged in their child's learning journey.
- Encourage family involvement and participation in school activities to foster a sense of community and belonging.
- Health and Safety:
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom and common areas to promote a healthy and safe learning environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures to ensure the well-being of children and staff.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education to ensure the highest quality of care and education for children.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to share ideas and strategies to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
