Urgent Care Medical Assistant Role

We're looking for a skilled Medical Assistant to support our Urgent Care team at Prisma Health UC by Wellstreet, LLC. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 per year (based on experience)

This part-time position involves working 2 days per week with scheduling from 8am-8pm. You'll have a 'home' location and may occasionally travel to different locations. We're seeking someone who is proficient in venipuncture and injections, has a strong understanding of clinical procedures and medical terminology, and can maintain accurate records in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures
  2. Perform triage and obtain vital signs
  3. Document patient history and maintain accurate records in EMR
  4. Ensure patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution
  • One year of relevant healthcare experience; preferably urgent care or emergency department
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
