UPMC Avalon Springs is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in Mercer, Pennsylvania. As a CNA, you will provide direct resident care and support, including activities of daily living, medical tasks, and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct resident care and physical support, as directed by the RN/LPN, with all activities of daily living.
- Record weights, intake and output, and vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate.
- Document in the medical record according to established procedures.
- Deliver resident nourishments and assist with feeding as needed.
- Provide feedback to the RN/LPN regarding resident care and reporting changes in resident status.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
Licenses and Certifications:
- CPR/BLS required based on AHA standards.
- Act 34.
- OAPSA.
