POSITION SUMMARY:
The Construction Project Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing project advancement, ensuring adherence to budgeted labor hours and essential performance metrics. This position requires the identification of project challenges, management of scope modifications, and consistent communication with supervisory personnel regarding project developments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties outline the primary functions of this role, though they are not exhaustive:
- Monitor project progression, focusing on allocated labor hours, workforce, and other vital indicators.
- Recognize project challenges and manage adjustments to project scope and contingency strategies.
- Relay project updates to supervisory staff, ensuring they remain informed of any developments or concerns.
- Acquire proficiency in the company's operational and planning systems.
- Leverage experience in resource allocation and scheduling to enhance project results.
- Employ foundational knowledge of shipbuilding processes, standard marine protocols, and general construction or repair specifications.
- Engage in effective communication and collaboration with fellow supervisors.
- Maintain a strong emphasis on quality, productivity, safety, and environmental considerations throughout the project lifecycle.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- A minimum of 5 years in supervisory roles within production crafts.
- Experience in resource management and scheduling.
- Basic understanding of shipbuilding operations, standard marine practices, and general specifications for construction and repair.
- Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative approach with other supervisory personnel.
- A strong commitment to quality, productivity, safety, and environmental compliance.
