Surgical Oncology Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the 7 North Medical Surgical GI/GU unit at Butterworth Hospital. As a Surgical Oncology Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Unit OverviewThe 7 North unit is a 39-bed Medical Surgical GI/GU unit that specializes in the care of urology and surgical oncology post-operative patients, as well as those with gastrointestinal diagnoses. Our team is known for its outstanding teamwork and welcoming atmosphere, and we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care responsibly and accountably, as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan.
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Uphold the standards of professional performance, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, and quality of practice.

- Associates in Nursing Required.
- Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days.
This is a part-time position with a variable schedule, including every third weekend. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of the team.
