Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming calls related to prior authorizations, handling between 50 to 70 calls daily from healthcare providers and members while addressing formulary and benefit inquiries.
- Process prior authorization requests using various software systems, ensuring all data is accurate and updated as needed.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail by following established criteria and guidelines to assess and process medication requests that are not automatically covered under a member's prescription plan.
- Prioritize patient safety and maintain a secure work environment, promptly communicating any safety concerns to management.
- Resolve issues and complaints efficiently and effectively.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- Handle incoming phone inquiries and collect member information to facilitate pharmacist consultations.
Qualifications Required:
- Active National (PTCB) or State Board of Pharmacy Technician Licensure.
- A minimum of 6 months experience in Customer Service or Customer Relations within the healthcare sector.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
Position Details:
Job Title: Licensed Pharmacy Technician
Location: Remote
Schedule: Initial training hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday. Post-training, shifts will consist of 8-hour workdays with a one-hour lunch break.
Compensation: $17.50 to $20.70 per hour, based on education, experience, and relevant healthcare credentials.
