Operations Director

Agrana Fruit US, Inc. is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the management of all production activities at our Lysander, NY facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, optimal performance, and adherence to safety and quality guidelines.

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and ensure efficient plant operations.
• Manage daily production activities, including supervising production employees and ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines.
• Conduct regular reviews of performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to meet or exceed plan.
• Assist in developing the Plant and Capital Budgets.
• Provide training and development opportunities for supervisors and production employees.
• Participate in setting, monitoring, and achieving operational targets and goals.
• Manage costs and operational supply purchases to ensure plant cost targets are met.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business, or equivalent.
• High commitment to Safety and Quality.
• Five years + experience in people leadership positions as a Supervisor/Manager.
• Thorough knowledge of GMP and HACCP program requirements.
• Five years or more of experience in a successful manufacturing company, preferably Food/Pharmaceutical.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to motivate employee base for optimal performance.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of techniques utilized in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel, SAP, and Access.
