Fluence Labs NDT Digital Radiography Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled NDT Digital Radiography Specialist to join our team of experts at Fluence Labs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for interpreting radiographs, performing process control checks, and designing, prototyping, and implementing nondestructive sensor systems to solve manufacturing quality problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret radiographs to identify defects and anomalies
  • Perform process control checks to ensure quality and reliability
  • Design, prototype, and implement nondestructive sensor systems to solve manufacturing quality problems
  • Prototype early inspection development and bench-top validation to reduce risk for new technologies
  • Interface with vendors, tooling, and automation groups to define requirements and manage projects through to delivery
  • Develop and deliver advanced nondestructive evaluation inspection solutions
  • Understand and debug hardware and software interactions during design, launch, and deployment
  • Use field data to improve design and performance of NDE systems
Core Competencies
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • +5 years NDT experience
  • Previously certified CR/DR in accordance with SNT-TC-1A, NAS 410, CP-189, ACCP
  • Works autonomously
  • Good written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Experience training NDT assistants
  • Proficiency with different NDT data acquisition software
  • Expertise interpreting 2D engineering drawings and model drawings
  • High competence with industry standards, including ASTM, ASME, AWS, etc.
Preferred Skills
  • ASNT RT III
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, physics, or computer science
  • 6+ years of hands-on technical engineering experience
  • Advanced manufacturing experience, including castings, EB welds, explosion bonding, composites, laser welding, powder metallurgy
  • Knowledge of various NDE techniques, including ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, digital radiography testing, etc.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation
  • Experience with software and automation coding (Labview, Python, C#, SQL)
  • Experience with POD studies
  • Knowledge of statistical process controls
  • Experience with root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar task/feature tracking systems
  • Experience with quality systems (ISO 9000/AS9100/NADCAP)
Additional Requirements
  • Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends to meet critical deadlines when needed
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs unassisted, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run
  • Must be willing and able to travel to customer sites on an as-needed basis
