We are seeking a Healthcare Support Professional to join our team at Advanced Radiology Consultants

Job Summary:

The primary function of this position is to assist the technologist in ensuring patient comfort and exceptional service while providing complete, accurate information to patients, staff, physicians, and referring physicians.

This role requires a strong commitment to compassionate patient care and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors with warmth and compassion, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional service.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, members of the team, referral sources, and others to provide necessary information and answer questions or concerns.
  • Escort patients to and from waiting rooms and review relevant documents.
  • Assist technologists with setting up patients for exams.
  • Provide and explain exam preps to patients, seeking assistance from technologists or physicians if necessary.
  • Optimize patient satisfaction by improving registration time and efficiency.
  • Scan documents accurately.
  • Ensure incoming faxes are delivered and/or acted on immediately.
  • Maintain records of all outside reads and ensure timely communication of results.
  • Respect patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA standards.
  • Adhere to all department/facility policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dressing rooms and exam rooms.
  • Register patients as needed at the front desk.
  • May assist other staff members with their duties as workload dictates.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate commitment to excellence in patient care and exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Proficient computer skills and data entry skills.
  • Listen to feedback or constructive criticism from management and apply it to personal growth.
  • Critical thinking – the ability to think creatively, problem-solve, and work independently.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Estimated Salary Range: $35,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
