Position Overview:
As a Lead Software Architect at Siemens Digital Industries Software, you will be instrumental in the architecture, development, and enhancement of our premier Questa Verification software solutions utilized by semiconductor firms globally.
Your role will involve close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, hardware specialists, and product leaders, to deliver superior solutions that align with the dynamic requirements of our clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the design, execution, and upkeep of intricate software components and subsystems within our EDA software portfolio.
- Partner with product management and other stakeholders to delineate software requirements and specifications.
- Engineer scalable and effective software architectures that fulfill performance, reliability, and usability standards.
- Conduct code evaluations, offer constructive insights, and mentor junior team members to cultivate a culture of ongoing learning and enhancement.
- Investigate and rectify technical challenges reported by clients or identified during testing and validation processes.
- Remain informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in EDA software engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with developing EDA verification software products is advantageous.
- Proven history of delivering high-quality software solutions throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in algorithm design, data structures, and object-oriented programming principles.
- Comprehensive understanding of EDA tools, semiconductor design processes, and industry standards (e.g., Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog, etc.).
- Experience with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Git, Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, etc.).
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of parallel computing, digital simulation, multi-threading, and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, or Perl.
- Understanding of hardware description languages (SystemVerilog, VHDL) and digital design principles.
- Previous experience in the EDA sector or related fields.
