Job Title: Registered Nurse - ER - FT Nights

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Role:
  • Assess and manage patients with a wide range of medical conditions, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Collaborate with our team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their care and recovery.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the ongoing development and refinement of our department's policies and procedures.

Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or North Carolina.
  • 2 years of experience in emergency nursing or a related field.
  • ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
