Payroll Technician

Job Description

Sparks Group is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in multi-state payroll processing, ensuring tax compliance and providing excellent employee support.

• Process multi-state payroll accurately and timely using payroll software.
  
• Review and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy.
  
• Calculate and process garnishments and deductions in compliance with regulations.
  
• Prepare and file state and federal payroll tax returns.
  
• Generate and analyze payroll reports for management.
  
• Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  
• Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries.
  
• Collaborate on payroll process improvement initiatives.
  

Qualifications/Background Profile:

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  
• 3-5 years of multi-state payroll processing experience.
  
• Proficiency in payroll software.
  
• Strong understanding of garnishment calculations and payroll tax regulations.
  
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  
• Ability to handle confidential information.
  
• Strong communication skills.
  
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
