Job Overview

Cuhaci Peterson is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Architect to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the design of data center projects, creating detailed architectural plans, and ensuring seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data center design strategies that meet client specifications and industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations on data center infrastructure, including power systems, cooling solutions, network architecture, and security practices.
  • Oversee the comprehensive project documentation process, from drawings and specifications to contracts, and manage construction administration to uphold quality and alignment with design intent.
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, and IT teams to integrate architectural designs with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Support project managers in overseeing the design phase, ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of design documents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address any design-related issues.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or additional certifications in data center design or project management is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 3-5 years specifically focused on data center projects within the AEC industry.
  • Licensure as a Registered Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complicated, mission-critical data center projects, including design development, construction documentation, and project coordination.
