Position Summary
The Medical Affairs and Health Technology Assessment (MA&HTA) Statistics team is pivotal in collaborating with Allergan's Global and US Medical Affairs, alongside other corporate sectors, to deliver specialized knowledge in biostatistics and mathematical analysis. This collaboration is integral to our product-focused initiatives and encompasses providing statistical guidance and consultation for critical medical affairs or HTA business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver scientific and statistical expertise for drug development and lifecycle management strategies across assigned projects.
- Oversee the formulation of scientific protocols, ensuring alignment with product strategies and regulatory standards.
- Exhibit a profound understanding of statistical principles and methodologies, introducing innovative statistical approaches to enhance study efficiency and validity.
- Identify and resolve technical or data-related challenges during clinical trials or scientific research, implementing alternative analysis strategies as necessary.
- Maintain and enhance technical skills through continuous learning and engagement with the latest statistical methodologies.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to assess existing databases and develop actionable analysis plans aimed at generating high-quality, patient-centered evidence.
- Evaluate alternatives to conventional randomized clinical trials utilizing real-world databases.
- Contribute significantly to cross-functional teams, ensuring the scientific integrity and clarity of study results and conclusions.
- Lead HTA submissions to optimize reimbursement strategies and product lifecycle management.
Qualifications
- Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience or PhD with at least 4 years of experience in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field.
- Strong technical acumen and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in experimental and real-world evidence study design, statistical modeling, and programming.
- Adept at identifying data or analytical challenges and proposing effective solutions.
- Ability to foster strong relationships with colleagues and cross-functional partners to enhance performance.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in drug development and lifecycle management within a regulated environment.
