We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Retail Store Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Retail Store Team Member, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including maintaining store cleanliness and recovery standards. You will also be responsible for delivering friendly customer service, helping customers shop our store, and finding what they're looking for.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including dusting and damp mopping floors, collecting and disposing of trash, and cleaning assigned areas.
- Provide excellent customer service, including answering customer questions, helping customers find products, and resolving customer complaints.
- Assist with visual merchandising, including setting up and maintaining displays, and ensuring that the store looks its best at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, including participating in inventory management, processing returns and exchanges, and maintaining store equipment and supplies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service role.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
