About the Role

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for producing highly engineered, custom-built mobile material handling machinery for rail-related markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assembly techniques to build and assemble parts and equipment accurately and timely.
  • Read and follow standard work instructions, BOMs, blueprints, and other diagrams to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Handle material, tools, and equipment manually or with jib cranes, connect hydraulic/pneumatic hosing, and maintain consistent productivity.
  • Additional tasks include spray painting parts, welding, preparing machinery for shipping, and rebuilding machinery.
Requirements
  • Mechanical assembly experience.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic assembly skills.
  • Welding and electrical wiring knowledge.
  • Ability to read blueprints/schematics and wire harness assembly.
  • Hand and power tool operation skills.
  • Diesel mechanic experience is a plus.
