All Around Children is in search of a dedicated Nutritional Specialist to enhance our team in delivering outstanding care to young learners within a premier preschool and childcare setting.

As a Nutritional Specialist, your primary role will involve the comprehensive planning and preparation of meals within the Center. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to create and serve visually appealing, nutritionally balanced meals tailored for children and staff. This role also encompasses maintaining exceptional standards of food quality to fulfill menu specifications, alongside the responsibilities of cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen area, as well as managing the unpacking of weekly grocery deliveries.

• Assist in meal preparation and cooking for children in alignment with established menus and recipes.
• Adhere to state and federal guidelines for food safety and sanitation.
• Maintain a tidy and organized kitchen and storage area, including regular cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen surfaces and equipment.
• Support inventory management, including the ordering and receiving of food and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and nutrition regulations and policies.
• Assist in planning and scheduling meals and snacks that are developmentally appropriate and culturally diverse.
• Foster positive relationships with children, staff, and parents, ensuring effective communication with all team members.
• Participate in professional development and training sessions as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in food preparation or a related field.
• Ability to accurately follow recipes, menus, and instructions.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, including routine cleaning and disinfecting of kitchen areas.
• ServSafe certification is advantageous.
• Capability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

• Ability to repetitively lift and move children, with a weight capacity of up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a moderately noisy environment.
• Preparedness to assist children in emergency situations.
• Participation in safety drills, adhering to guidelines including relocating children, which may involve moving cribs with multiple children to designated safe areas.
• Endurance to withstand varying outdoor conditions and temperatures for extended periods throughout all seasons.
