Job Title: Senior Commercial Loan Closer

NexBank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Loan Closer to join our Commercial Loan Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and completing the loan closing and funding process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of loan transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and complete loan closing and funding processes, working closely with inter-departmental teams and external customers.
  • Process tasks daily to close and fund loans in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to bank policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collect, compile, and record loan closing files, ensuring compliance with approved procedures.
  • Compile and complete loan worksheets, following approved structures and procedures.
  • Enter loan information into the core loan accounting system, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare exception worksheets for further follow-up by the department.
  • Initiate wires for loan funding activities, adhering to bank wire policy and procedures.
  • Process loan payments, payoffs, and advance/draw requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist team members with internal and external customer service issues.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and loan reviews.
  • Cross-train with other loan closers and servicers to maintain business continuity.
  • Assist the commercial loan operations department with other activities as needed.
Professional Experience and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of increasing responsibilities in commercial loan closing, funding, and administration, or a bachelor's degree with 3-5+ years of experience in commercial loan closing, funding, and administration.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial loan documentation and collateral perfection.
  • Jack Henry Software Suite experience preferred.
  • Understanding of regulatory guidelines and requirements from bank governing entities, including FDIC.
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate with various individuals in the bank, including loan officers and senior officers.
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
