Overview of the Role
Soliant is seeking a dedicated School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide crucial speech and language services to students with diverse communication needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and treatment goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based interventions and techniques, and collaborate with school staff, parents, and professionals to support students' progress and communication skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each student's needs and progress.
- Support students' academic and social success by providing targeted speech and language services, and collaborating with teachers and other professionals to implement effective strategies and interventions.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, and current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred but not required, as Soliant provides ongoing support and training to ensure the success of its staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as the successful candidate will work effectively with students, parents, and school staff to support students' communication and academic needs.
