LPN Correctional Officer

Are you a licensed practical nurse (LPN) looking for a challenging and rewarding career in corrections? The Sullivan County Sheriff's Office Medical Division is seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled LPN to provide medical care and support to inmates in our correctional facility. As an LPN in our Medical Division, you will be responsible for administering medications, conducting medical assessments, and providing emergency care as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and vaccinations as prescribed by medical staff
• Conduct medical assessments and screenings of inmates
• Provide emergency care and respond to medical emergencies
• Collaborate with medical staff to develop and implement treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records

Requirements:

• Current LPN license in the state of Tennessee
• Ability to work in a fast-paced correctional environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Work Schedule:

We work a 4-week rotating schedule with 7 days off consecutively each month. This schedule allows for a healthy work-life balance and provides opportunities for overtime pay.
