We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic Emergency Room Specialist to join our team at HCA Houston ER 24/7 - Stafford. As a key member of our emergency department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in need of urgent medical attention.
Key Responsibilities- Provide supportive care to emergency department patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Perform approved procedures, including taking vital signs, documenting and reporting abnormal results, and assisting with setting up oxygen per instructions.
- Take height and weight measurements, place ECG electrodes, and attach ECG monitors correctly.
- Assist with setting up oxygen per instructions and perform EKGs.
- 1 year of prior hospital and/or EMS experience preferred, with EKG and phlebotomy experience a plus.
- Consideration will be given to other types of relevant training and/or experience.
- Paramedic certification required, with current American Heart Association BLS Certification also required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
