About the LPN Licensed Practical Nurse Role

CareerStaff Unlimited is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at a skilled nursing facility in Bedford, NH. As a valued member of the care team, you will play a crucial role in helping patients with medically complex conditions regain their quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily bath, dressing, grooming, dental care, bowel and bladder functions, preparation for medical tests and exams, ear and eye care, and positioning in and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, etc.
  • Provide nursing functions as directed by supervisor, including daily perineal care, catheter care, turning residents in bed, all bathing, measuring and recording temperature, pulse, and respiration, weighing and measuring residents, performing restorative and rehabilitative procedures, and observing and reporting the presence of skin breakdowns.
  • Prepare residents for meals and snacks, identify food arrangements, and assist in feeding residents as needed, record food and fluid intake, and perform after-meal resident care as needed.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality, treat residents with kindness, dignity, and respect, know and comply with Resident's Rights rules, and promptly report all resident complaints, accidents, and incidents to supervisor.
  • Utilize nursing knowledge and skills in the safe implementation of basic preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care of assigned patients/families, as evidenced by documentation and observation of positive patient care outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a nationally approved Nursing program is required.
  • Maintain current BLS/CPR certification from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
  • Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing.
