Optician Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients with their eyewear needs, ensuring they receive the highest level of service and care. In this role, you will work closely with both patients and healthcare professionals to provide tailored solutions that enhance vision and overall eye health.

• Patient Support: Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their needs and preferences.
• Measurement and Fitting: Conduct measurements for lenses and fittings, ensuring accuracy for optimal vision correction.
• Eyewear Education: Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an organized inventory of optical products, including frames and lenses.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Order Processing: Process orders for eyewear, including managing medical billing and coding as necessary.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and record keeping.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.

• Experience: Previous experience in an optical setting or retail management is preferred.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of ophthalmology practices and medical coding/billing is advantageous.
• Familiarity: Familiarity with physiology related to vision care is a plus.
• Sales Skills: Strong sales skills to effectively promote products and services to patients.
