Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a Charge Nurse. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and promoting a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including delegating tasks and responsibilities, and providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans, ensuring that they are individualized and meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection and analysis, and development of action plans to address identified issues.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing coverage for nursing staff during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of New York.
  • One year of experience as an LPN, with a minimum of six months of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
