Medical Assistant Clinical Training Specialist

The North Carolina Community Health Center Association seeks a skilled Medical Assistant Clinical Preceptor to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Clinical Preceptor, you will be responsible for student orientation, liaison with health centers, student supervision, and clinical teaching to provide hands-on training in the medical assistant field.
Responsibilities- Participate in a comprehensive preceptor orientation program.
- Coordinate and instruct assigned students in hands-on training at designated locations and times.
- Teach specified hands-on training sessions in the medical assistant curriculum, ensuring a strong understanding of topics and preparing training according to course requirements.
- Guide, facilitate, supervise, and monitor student performance to achieve clinical objectives, ensuring safe practice.
- Supervise clinical activities to ensure students are performing well and address areas of difficulty.
- Collaborate with the Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship Director to review student progress toward meeting clinical learning objectives.
- Certified Medical Assistant or LPN degree, licensed in North Carolina.
- Five years of related occupational experience.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to travel out-of-town and overnight as needed.
