As a Rheumatology Care Specialist, you will be responsible for examining patients, ordering and studying diagnostic tests, diagnosing and proposing treatments for autoimmune and arthritic diseases, prescribing medications and IV Infusion Treatments, maintaining accurate records and schedules, and educating patients and their family members on diseases and treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Examine patients and their medical records to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Order and study diagnostic tests, including blood tests and X-rays, to inform treatment decisions
- Diagnose and propose treatments for autoimmune and arthritic diseases, including medications and IV Infusion Treatments
- Maintain accurate records and schedules to ensure seamless patient care
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases and treatment plans to promote informed decision-making
- Oversee patients' overall health and well-being, including promoting good health practices and advancing professional knowledge
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Perform other duties as assigned by collaborating physicians to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
- New grads and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Rheumatology, Orthopedics, Orthopedic Surgery, Internal Medicine are welcome to apply
- Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English a plus
- Hospital Rounding and Call rotation
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, and written
- Strong ethics and integrity
- Team player with a positive attitude, patience and cool-headedness
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
- Valid Virginia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & DEA license
