Key Responsibilities:

As a Tax Manager, your daily activities will include:
  • Preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, and corporations, as well as property and sales tax returns.
  • Drafting correspondence for tax authorities and creating detailed work papers.
  • Identifying accounting and tax-related issues, proposing effective solutions.
  • Assisting with IRS audits and appeals.
  • Engaging in tax planning and researching complex accounting matters.
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues across various departments.
  • Supporting quarterly state estimated taxes and extensions.
  • Assisting with state income/franchise and sales tax audits.
  • Reviewing fixed assets to ensure compliance with tax depreciation regulations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A BA or BS degree in accounting.
  • An active CPA license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in taxation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Lacerte, Intuit ProConnect Online, QuickBooks Online, or similar accounting software.
  • A genuine interest in advancing within the tax profession and a passion for tax-related work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently while also following directions.
  • Excellent time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A results-oriented mindset, thriving in an accountable culture.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with a Big 4 or large accounting firm is advantageous.
