Job Summary

As a Nurse Practitioner at Rochester Regional Health, you will play a vital role in providing medical services to ambulatory patients. With your exceptional interpersonal and empathetic skills, you will work closely with patients, family members, and medical teams to deliver high-quality care. Your comprehensive understanding of diagnostic procedures and treatment plans will enable you to make informed decisions and provide optimal patient management. This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package, including base pay, incentive bonuses, and quality bonus eligibility. Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

* Taking complex medical histories on patients referred for consultation by academic and community physicians
* Performing physical examinations, ordering laboratory tests, x-rays, special imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures
* Developing treatment plans in conjunction with attending physicians to provide optimal patient medical management
* Interacting with patients, family members, medical/social/public services support, regulatory agencies, and/or payor agencies
* Prescribing medication, writing orders, performing procedures, and responding to emergency and/or immediate condition changes of acute patients
* Obtaining complete, detailed, and accurate patient histories, reviewing patient records, performing physical exams, and recording all pertinent data to develop comprehensive medical status, diagnosis, and clinical treatment plans for all assigned patients

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

* At least two (2) years of full-time clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care site
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Compassionate, warm, and patient-focused approach
* Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
* Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
* Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior

Education and Certifications

* MS in Advanced Practice Nursing (Required)
* RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
* NP - Nurse Practitioner Certification - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

Pay Range

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
