ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor will oversee Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Medical Assistants within a psychiatric residential treatment facility catering to adolescents. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices, coordinating training programs, and addressing professional, administrative, and supervisory challenges.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in Oregon.

Experience: Candidates with a background in adolescent residential treatment or psychiatric nursing are preferred. A combination of relevant experience and training that demonstrates the necessary skills and knowledge will also be considered. Supervisory experience is advantageous.

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Licenses: Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license in Oregon.

Driver's License: A valid driver's license in Oregon with a clean record is required, and candidates must be insurable under Looking Glass auto insurance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Provide comprehensive medical care for all clients, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations.
  2. Act as a liaison between Looking Glass Community Services and the broader medical community, including hospitals.
  3. Maintain precise medical records for each client, including treatment plans, medication administration records, progress notes, and 30-day reviews as necessary.
  4. Perform additional duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands outlined here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. While fulfilling the responsibilities of this role, the employee is regularly required to sit, utilize hands for various tasks, and communicate effectively. Specific vision capabilities required include close vision. The employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds may be necessary at times.
