Position Summary: The Production Operator plays a crucial role in the bottling process, undertaking various tasks along the production line. Over time, you will gain expertise in all operational functions. Forklift experience is essential, and successful completion of our forklift training is required shortly after starting.


Shift Details: This position is exclusively for B-shift (Wednesday 12pm-6pm and Thursday through Saturday 6am-6pm).

Compensation: The hourly wage for this role is $19.00.

Safety and Compliance: Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols is mandatory. All personnel must comply with GMP regulations, including the use of hairnets, beard nets, earplugs, and safety glasses while on the production floor. You will also follow standard operating procedures, including quality checks and compliance with HACCP and SQF standards for food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and implement corrective measures as necessary.
  • Oversee the bottling line, ensuring a smooth flow of bottles and accurate coding.
  • Monitor the label application process, ensuring continuous supply of materials.
  • Address any jamming issues with new bottles entering the bottling area.
  • Manage case packing operations.
  • Document production metrics accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is essential.
  • Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, particularly in the beverage or food industry, is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of GMP, sanitation standards, and FDA regulations is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands for this position include:

  • Standing and walking for approximately 50% of the time.
  • Frequent bending, crouching, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Visual acuity for near and depth perception tasks.

Food Safety Standards:

  1. General HACCP/SQF principles.
  2. Good Manufacturing Practices.
  3. Pre-requisite programs including security, chemical handling, and cleaning/sanitation procedures.
  4. Adherence to associated standard operating procedures.
